A Different Approach to Dog Training
At Best Behavior Dog Training, we believe obedience training is more than just teaching commands—it’s about building clear communication, trust, and a relationship that works for your lifestyle.

Whether you’re dealing with frustrating behaviors or just want a dog that listens and fits into your family, our goal is simple: give you the tools and structure needed for lasting results.
Built on Structure, Designed for Real Life
Our training is built on a structured, no-nonsense approach influenced by working dogs—where clarity, consistency, and reliability aren’t optional, they’re expected.

But real life isn’t a training field, and most families don’t need a competition dog. They need a dog that listens at home, behaves in public, and can be trusted in everyday situations.

That’s why we focus on practical obedience that actually works in your day-to-day life.

What We Believe About Dog Training
We don’t aim for temporary fixes; we build long-term behavior you can rely on.
What We Believe
-
Dogs thrive with clear communication and consistent expectations

-
Training should be built around your lifestyle not a one-size-fits-all system

-
Real results happen outside, not just in controlled environments

-
Owners should understand their dog, not just manage them
Not Your Typical Training Environment
A More Personal Training Experience
Unlike large kennel-style facilities, dogs that stay with us live in our home and are treated like part of the family.
This allows us to:

-
Provide individualized attention

-
Create real-life training scenarios

-
Maintain a safe, structured, and comfortable environment
Your dog isn’t just another number, they’re part of the process.
Our Founder & Head Trainer
Hi my name is Amanda Ryan
As the Founder & Head Trainer of Best Behavior Dog Training, I focus on helping dogs and their owners achieve real, lasting results through clear communication, structure, and consistency.

Every dog in my program is trained in a home environment (not a kennel) so they can learn in a way that feels natural and translates to everyday life. From puppy foundations to more advanced behavior challenges, each program is tailored to the individual dog and the owner’s lifestyle.

My goal isn’t just to train your dog, it’s to give you the knowledge and confidence to maintain that behavior long-term.
Currently, I share my life with two Belgian Malinois: my senior girl, Dingo, and a young male, Khonshu. In my free time, Khonshu and I train and explore different dog sports, or we’re at home relaxing with Dingo.

We Don’t Just Train Dogs—We Teach You
One of the biggest reasons training fails is lack of clarity.
That’s why we focus on helping you:
-
Understand your dog
Learn why your dog behaves the way they do so you can prevent problems before they start

-
Communicate clearly
Give your dog direction instead of constantly correcting behavior

-
Advocate for your dog
Create trust and confidence by guiding them through real-world situations
When you understand your dog, everything changes.
Where Training Meets Real Life
Our training isn’t about perfect obedience in a quiet room.
It’s about:
-
Calm behavior at home

-
Controlled walks

-
Confidence in public

-
A dog you can actually enjoy living with
Because that’s what matters.
